The theme for this round of the Femboy Hunt is Gender-bending Grimm’s! The creators will take the Grimm’s tale they are assigned and gender-bend it. Make the Princes into Princesses, the Princesses into Princes, Fairy Godmothers into androgynous beauties. They will take the classic tales and bend and shape them into their own expression of gender freedom.
Gender-bending: Informal term used to refer to a person who actively transgresses, or “bends,” expected gender roles. Gender bending is sometimes a form of social activism undertaken in response to assumptions or over-generalizations about genders.
Grimm’s: Collection of fairy tales first published in 1812 by the Grimm brothers, Jacob and Wilhelm.
